Parejo and Rodrigo lead by example with goal contributions
Two Valencia CF players firing on all cylinders at the moment are Dani Parejo and Rodrigo Moreno, veterans of the squad leading by example in both LaLiga Santander and the Champions League.
The two captains have directly contributed to 14 of the 19 goals scored by the team this season, a total of 73%.
Against RCD Espanyol, Parejo scored the equaliser from a penalty won by Rodrigo -shoved in the back inside the area by Vicente Gomez-, whilst the striker set up Maxi Gomez for the winning goal that earned VCF the 3 points.

Parejo has now found the net six times this season, with all of his goals coming in LaLiga. He is the club's top marksman, as well as one of the top scorers in the league overall.
Besides this, he has also provided three assists: For Rodrigo (Chelsea FC), Maxi Gómez (Getafe CF) and Rubén Sobrino (Sevilla FC).

Rodrigo is playing 'in the hole' under Albert Celades, and has had a direct influence on 8 of his team's goals: He scored against Chelsea FC and Osasuna, has 4 assists in LaLiga (2 for Maxi Gómez, 1 for Kevin Gameiro and 1 for Kang In), making him the top provider in domestic competition.
He has also won two penalties: Against Espanyol and CD Leganés. Both he and Parejo hope to continue to have an impact in the club's next game, against Lille at Mestalla in midweek.
